The idea of developing a customer focus strategy at Coldharbour Systems was introduced by Roy Proctor (Managing Director) in 2002. Since our accreditation with ISO (International Organization for Standardization) in 2000 a greater importance had been placed on maintaining our internal procedures. With our continued adherence to the ISO standards we identified a further requirement to look outside the company and evaluate the level of service we are providing to our customers.
With 60% of Coldharbour Systems' turnover made up by repeat business, the requirement to achieve customer satisfaction on a consistent basis is essential. The move from a procedure-based company strategy to a customer-focused strategy was aided by the new ISO 9001: 2008 accreditation standards which comprehensively measures and audits how our procedures tie into our unity of purpose and customer focus strategy. The company achieved accreditation against the new ISO 9001: 2008 standards in 2003 with the Lloyds Register Quality Assurance* assessor commenting that each department had really embraced the spirit of the new standards and not just paid lip service to the changes.
Customers' active involvement in product design, system process and technology selection ensure that Coldharbour can listen and respond to our customers' business needs. Such participation ensures customers continue to benefit from Coldharbour's provision of proven, end-to-end solutions as well as stable and cost justifiable applications which meet the specific needs of the industry.

Coldharbour Systems are proud to employ over seventy staff members of whom over 60% have worked with us for five years or more and 25% have been at Coldharbour Systems for ten or more years.
Through a rolling programme of staff training and development we have ensured that each member of the Coldharbour team has the necessary knowledge to perform their role to the highest level.
The development process is about more than just programming. As essential as programmers are, our skilled team of over twenty development staff are also concerned with testing, quality control, technical documentation, accounting, management reporting and client communication. By making sure we have the right people in place, we can be sure to continue to produce robust, reliable and structured market-leading products of which we are justly proud.
In 2003, Coldharbour Systems founded our strategic user focus groups with the intention of bringing together our clients to discuss and evaluate current system usage and identify future system requirements. As well as holding market-specific groups for each of our market areas, Coldharbour Systems have also held a number of product-specific focus groups encouraging client involvement at each step of our development process.
